4 Months

Caleb is 4 months old and doing great! He is such a happy baby and loves to "talk" and laugh. He continues to roll over from his tummy to his back when he's doing tummy time and Wally said he saw him roll from back to front once too. He still doesn't really like tummy time, but now that he can roll over and lift his head up higher without so much effort he's tolerating it better.

He's been sleeping through the night since he was about 3 months old - right when I had to go back to working full time (thank goodness!) He goes to sleep after his last feeding around 10 and then he doesn't wake up until about 5 or 6 the morning - yay! He definately has his fussy moments as all babies do, but all in all I think we've been very lucky to have such a happy/easy baby. Or at least we've been told that by both mine and Wally's parents, they say he's been much easier than either of us were ;) He is just so much fun, every day he seems to get cuter and more interactive with us and his surroundings than the day before.

We just had his 4 month appt this week and he weighs 14.8 lbs, 25.75 inches long, and has a head circum of 17.25. That puts him in the 50-75th percentile for weight and the 75-90th percentile for his height/head. The doctor said we could start feeding him rice cereal a couple of times a day. Below is some video of his very first experience with the stuff. (we taped the whole feeding and since its so long, had to split it up into 3 parts.) I don't think he ate much the first time, he ended up wearing most of it :) But since then he's been eating it a couple of times a day and totally gobbles it up. It amazes me how much he can eat... he's my "Little Monster!"

  1. Looks like from the beginning Caleb found he could slip Murphy the food he doesn't want!
